PAMPA weekenden

What

This year, 2013, we schedule two events again:

- a Training Camp open for all, from November 8th until and included 11th.
- a Race on December 7th and 8th.

The whole Pampa crew is very much looking forward to both happenings, and we hope you do too!

Registration and entrance fee payment are mandatory for both events, since maximum 100 teams can enter for each event.
After 100 teams where enlisted you will be placed on a waiting list.
Entrance fee payment will be refunded after the event if your name was on this waiting list and you were not allowed to start.

Registration Training Camp open October 1st 2013.
Registration Race open November 13th 2013.
So, if you wish to take part in both events you need to sign the corresponding registration form for each of them.

Where

Pampa Range, Helchteren 3530 Limburg, Belgium

Directions: Take exit 29 on the E314 (Leuven to Aachen) and follow the N715 in the direction of Helchteren/Eindhoven.
After about 5km, at Helchteren centre, turn right onto the N719 (Kazernelaan) in the direction of Bree and pass the military base on your left.
After approx. 2km, turn right at the former "café 't Sonnis".
This is the "Sonnisstraat" which you just have to follow all the way to the end.

Route
When

Training Camp, November 8th - 11th and Race, December 7th - 8th 2013.
The stake out will be opened at Friday as of 17:00 hours for both the traning camp and the race.

Do not arrive too early: due to military exercises, the site will be inaccessible beforehand and is strictly prohibited.
Please respect these timings or we loose our credibility versus our hosts...

Trail info

Training Camp: trail distances 3,5,7,9 & 12km
Race: Sprint distances 5,7,9 & 12km
Tour distances during Race event: 17,19,21 & 24 km.

During the trainingcamp you can connect sprinttrails together when you want to train more kilometers.

For who

The two events are open for both Purebred and Alaskan Husky (Open) teams and is organized by the member clubs of Mushing Belgium and FBMC.
Sign up is mandatory for these two events. Only 100 teams will be allowed to participate in each event.

Logistics

Toilets (men/women), water, multiple stake-outs, tables/chairs and Musher Bar in the heated tent.
Musher Dinner: there will be no musher dinner, but we warmly welcome you to get together with other participants at night and prepare your meal at the BBQ sets placed near the tent and musher bar.
Note: if you use the BBQ places please CLEAN UP afterwards (trash in the bags)!
No parking on the concrete road!
The stake-out is open for participants as of Friday 17h00 and not one minute before. If you arrive early, you will be asked to make a U turn and wait outside the military site.
General: follow the Pampa crew instructions at all times during both events.
Crew members will also help you get parked at the stake-out. Remember: since we want to welcome more participants stake-out space is quite limited!!
It should go without saying, but please: clean up your stake-out spot when leaving and CLOSE ALL HOLES! If not, you risk being excluded from future events.
The military is so kind to host us, we all should cherish this hospitality...
Cost and registration

Training Camp 8th - 11th November 2013: Online subscription (open October 1st 2013) and money transfer on MBEL bank account.
- For the training camp fee please view the payment instructions.
Race 7th - 8th December 2013: Online subscription (open November 13th 2013) and money transfer on MBEL bank account.
- For the race fee please view the payment instructions.
Your registration is confirmed only when payment of the fee is received on the MBEL bank account and you completed the online registration for the specific event, after which your name will be added to the online entrants list.

Stake Out opens Friday 17h00
General Assembly Mushing Belgium 17h00 @ the tent.
Administration Friday from 19h00 to 21h00 & Saturday and Sunday from 09h00 to 10h00 @ Secretariat.
Starting BIB is mandatory and you must wear it visible when you are on the trail.
Free training Saturday, Sunday & Monday; First training 07h00, last training 20h00 on Saturday and Sunday, last training 12h00 on Monday.
If the trail is build-up and open (depending on the trailteam) and you have a BIB number it is possible to train on Friday evening already.
Return of the BIB numbers on Monday between 14h00 and 15h00 @ Secretariat

Stake Out opens Friday 17h00
Cart check Friday from 19h00 to 21h00 & Saturday from 08h30 to 09h00 @ the tent. This check is mandatory and preceeds administration!
Administration Friday from 19h00 to 21h00 & Saturday from 09h00 to 10h00 @ Secretariat.
Friday 21h00 starting order draw for Saturday @ the tent.
Briefing trailposts Saturday 09h30 @ Secretariat
Mushermeeting Saturday 10h00 @ Start zone
First start Saturday @ 10h30 (TOUR teams first, followed by O, A, ... class and so forth).
Sunday first start @ 09h00.
Return of the BIB numbers on Sunday between 14h00 and 15h00 @ Secretariat.
Podium and Awards on Sunday 16h00 @ the tent.
