Ik vroeg me af of er soms iemand leuke citaten/quotes of gedichten kent die over honden gaan?

Hondje
Het hondje Levi zat op de stoep,
maar op de stoep lag poep.
Levi trapte erin,
Hij dacht wat een vies ding.
Hij veegde het eraf,
Hij was zo blij daarom zei hij blaf.
Wat hij zei wisten we niet,
Daarom zongen wij het toverlied.
Nu konden we verstaan wat hij zei,
Daarom waren wij en Levi erg blij.

Just a Dog

From time to time people tell me, "Lighten up. It's just a dog."
or "That's a lot of money for just a dog."

They don't understand the distance traveled, time spent or costs involved for "Just a dog".

Some of my proudest moments have come about with "Just a dog".
Many hours have passed with my only company being "Just a dog"
and not once have I felt slighted.
Some of my saddest moments were brought about by "just a dog".
In those days of darkness ,
the gentle touch of "Just a dog" provided comfort
and purpose to overcome the day.

If you, too, think it's "Just a dog", you will probably understand phrases like
"Just a friend" or "just a sunrise" or "Just a promise".

"Just a dog" brings into my life the very essence of friendship, trust,
and pure unbridled joy. "Just a dog" brings out the compassion and patience that make me a better person.

Because of "Just a dog" I will rise early,
take long walks, and look longingly to the future.

For me and folks like me, it's not "Just a dog".
It's an embodiment of all the hopes and dreams of the future,
the fond memories of the past, and the pure joy of the moment.


"Just a dog" brings out what's good in me and diverts my thoughts
away from myself and the worries of the day.

I hope that someday people can understand it's not "Just a dog."
It's the thing that gives me humanity and keep me from being
"Just a man " or "Just a woman".

So the next time you hear the phrase "Just a dog",
Smile because they "Just don't understand"..

Slechts een Hond . 

Zo af en toe vertellen mensen mij; "Ach joh, het is 'slechts' een hond!" 
of: "dat is wel een hoop geld voor 'slechts' een hond!" 
Ze zien de reisafstanden, de tijd gespendeerd en het geld uitgeven voor 'slechts' een hond en ze begrijpen het niet. 
Uur na uur gaat voorbij en mijn enige gezelschap is 'slechts' een hond. 

Mijn meest trotse momenten waren met 'slechts' een hond en ook mijn droevigste momenten waren samen met 'slechts' een hond. 
Maar in de donkere dagen was het de tedere aanraking van 'slechts' een hond die me sterkten en motiveerden om door te gaan. 

Slechts een hond brengt mij pure vriendschap, vertrouwen en volmaakt geluk. 
Slechts een hond brengt medeleven en geduld bij mij omhoog waardoor ik een beter persoon ben geworden. 

Door slechts een hond sta ik vroeg op, maak ik lange wandelingen en kijk ik verlangend uit naar de toekomst. 
Voor mensen zoals ik is het niet 'slechts' een hond! 
Maar een belichaming van alle hoop en dromen voor de toekomst, menige blijde herinnering uit het verleden en de pure blijdschap voor het heden. 

Slechts een hond brengt al het goede in mij omhoog en leidt mij af van alle zorgen van de dag..

Niet de eerste keer dat ik hiermee reageer... Maar ik blijf 't mooi vinden :

hmm sorry lukt me niet Heb een mooie afbeelding van het testament van de hond. maar krijg hem er niet op. Misschien dat iemand anders hem heeft. Ik vind hem super mooi.
